This is the ONLY restaurant I buy cooked oxtails from. WHEN they’re cooked thoroughly, they are delicious. But if you ever have an issue and report it respectfully and personally to the owner in a letter with email and phone number included, don’t expect to be met with appreciation. I never got a response, even when I called and asked to speak with the manager. That was well over a year ago.
But they will eat you alive on social if you comment on their daily Facebook stories. So, you be the judge.
How do you improve if you only accept praise?
The food is usually good but service with a smile is reserved for a select few. Like the last time I was there and asked if there were oxtails left. It was the end of the day and oxtails is a popular dish in the neighborhood. I have had occasions previously where I was told the oxtails were done for the day.
The cashier looked me right in the eye and said, “Yeah, we have. I don’t know how you people eat them. I don’t eat oxtails.”
