I love the Giant Market farmers market just blocks away but I always go to Aldi first. The prices are unbeatable and the veggies and fruit are the absolute freshest! But the real shoppers’ trick is to know what they have and when.

For instance, once a year Aldi has lobster tails at an unmatchable price. I fill my freezer up once a year and that’s that.

Pork chops is another. Aldi’s pork chops are pink, fresh and always delicious. I’ve never had to return anything, even though they have their infamous double guarantee that I haven’t seen anywhere else, ever.

No matter how long the line is, you will never wait long at Aldi. They clearly make their employees happy because the turnover isn’t frequent. I know the cashiers, some by name. But then again, that’s the kind of neighbor I am.
