I suffer OCD and I love housekeeping. So sweeping never bothers me, but trying to get every little bit into a dust pan does.
I’ve never owned a carpet sweeper or a broom like this before but I was absolutely determined to get rid of my dirty dust pan. This was an inexpensive and reliable fix.
I only gave it four stars because on occasion it does hesitate a little bit and I don’t understand why. It also takes hours to fully charge which makes no sense to me since it isn’t all that big of a machine to leave that long. I keep it plugged in and when I’m ready to use it after I have swept I just zoom up the dirt. And yes, I do sweep. My rubber broom does a good job of getting all the dirt from every corner of my apartment and the only reason I use this is to pick up the residue that would get left being with my dust pan.
And I don’t even wash out the cup by hand. I rinse it and toss it in the dishwasher. I’d like my plastics sparkling.
Update August 1, 2021
This sweeper is now noisy and hesitates when pulling backward sometimes. I keep it clean but I guess that’s just how it goes. Next time I’ll spend a little more. Still beats bending down to sweep up the dust and having that little line of dirt that you never can quite get all up with a broom. For a carpet-less apartment, this is perfect for me. I own a rubber broom, this sweeper and my o-cedar spin mop. That’s all I need to keep every room spotless.
