Floating shelves are a great alternative when you lack cabinet space but have a little wall space to play with.
When I moved into this apartment years ago I loved that the bathroom was separate from the sink and dressing area.
Yet, as in most apartments, the medicine cabinet isn’t big enough to also house my nasal spray, dental care and other items. So I was going to have to invest in some attractive shelving at a bargain price.
I found these floating shelves on Amazon and they were the perfect size at the right price. I purchased acrylic because I didn’t want the small space they’d be in to be devoid of light. These are clear as cglass, thick enough to handle a bit of weight and they really upgraded my vanity space. They come 2 in. a pack and I purchased 2 packs, using 3 on one wall and 1 on the other, used exclusively for my electric toothbrush, floss, dental picks and such.
Even though I like to think I’m agile as a cat, I was sure to purchase floating shelves with a lip so that items wouldn’t be knocked off repeatedly by my elbow as I’m brushing my teeth or styling hair.
What’s great about shelves like these is that they stack together nicely so they don’t take up much space when packed away for moving or to install in another area.
