I’m not a big pizza fan but when I do want pizza, I want real food from a guy I can see tossing up dough. I go to Fratelli’s Pizzeria in Hackensack, NJ.
Their slices remind me of the pizza I grew up eating in the Bronx, NY. Slices big enough to fold in half and crust that was so tender and chewy it was like getting a bonus.
Often when you say a food is dry, it doesn’t sound like a good thing. In this case, it is. Look at the pictures! No oily, drippy sauce all over the place. Just cheesy, deliciousness! I even put my slice down on my iPad for a second. You KNOW you can’t do that with other pizzas!
I get 3 slices cold when I drop by. Once I get home I just put them in my air fryer and broil for a few minutes each side. That cheese bubbles and the crust gets crispy. It’s like I just walked out the shop. That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
A couple years ago I shared with them that their pizza prices were way too low after having my first slice. I think they were charging $1.50 at the time. About a year later I walked in and they, indeed, raised the price. That was a good move.
If they had better marketing they’d have lines out the door.
Tell them Patricia sent you! Fratelli’s Pizzeria deserves recognition!!
